The Long Run by Rachel Ganz Al Green Theatre 750 Spadina Avenue Toronto, ON October 11th, 2012 Presented by Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project in association with the Al Green Theatre, Newborn Theatre, and Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre The Long Run is a 35-minute, one-act play written by playwright Rachel Ganz. Having won a certificate of merit in playwriting at University of Toronto’s One Act Festival earlier this year, Rachel has offered to stage her play for charity – to raise awareness and reduce stigma around bipolar and other mental health disorders. The Long Run is inspired by Rachel’s own experiences and centres around three teenaged siblings abandoned for a weekend by their mother during a manic episode of her bipolar disorder.
